Dr. Tullio Simoncini is a former Italian doctor, born in 1951. He received his degree in 1976 in Rome. In the same city, he attended specialized studies in diabetes and metabolic diseases. In 1996, he earned a degree in Philosophy from La Sapienza University in Rome. At the same university, Dr. Simoncini focused on studies of Oncology in a period from 2000 to 2004. At the same time, he started his battle with cancer and conventional cancer treatments. Dr. Simoncicni is famous for his claims that the fungi Candida albicans causes cancer, or, in other words, that cancer represents the form of candida overgrowth. He presented his hypothesis at many international conferences, and even published a book named “Cancer is a Fungus“, in which he described protocols for treatment of different cancers. In addition, Dr. Simoncini was founder of a private association “Italian Association Fungus and Cancer”. Dr. Simoncini believes that baking soda, sodium bicarbonate, represents a key alternative cancer cure. It is well familiar that cancer favors acidic environment. In addition, Candida also survives and multiplies better when pH value is low. Baking soda, that creates an alkaline environment and pH value about 10, represents an antidote for acidity. In accordance, Dr. Simoncini promotes injections of sodium bicarbonate as an alternative cure for cancer. Followers of conventional medicine have rejected the alternative approach that Dr. Simoncini has advocated. As they claim, there is a lack of evidence from peer-review studies that would support Simoncini’s cancer hypothesis. Also, they add, there is no single one scientific publication written by Dr. Simoncini. Dr. Simonconi has led personal war against cancer and developed specific therapies (mostly intravenous) with sodium bicarbonate applicable for numerous cancer types. These include liver, intestinal, stomach, pancreas, prostate, brain, breast, lung, and skin cancers among others. Dr. Simonconi has claimed that the cure rate of his therapy totals around 70 % and that his patients have experienced little side effects if any. Still, Dr. Simoncini is a part of several controversies. Italian Medical Society expelled him from their community after he was found guilty of a fraud and manslaughter in 2006. This was because one patient died after receiving his treatment. And this was not all. About Dr. Simoncini Tullio Simoncini is a roman doctor specialising in oncology, diabetology and in metabolic disorders. He has a strong opposition to any type of intellectual conformity, which is often based on suppositions without foundation or worse, on lies and falsities. When, considering the total failure of official oncology, which is obvious to all, one can understand his strongly critical position of an Italian and global medical system that operates in what is a scientific dead end that is of no help whatsoever to the patients. Dr. Simoncini cultivates sports and takes care of his mind and body by following elementary natural rules such as a healthy diet, physical activity and the practice of moral responsibility. He favourite sports are jogging, skiing and soccer. His tendency to medical and scientific synthesis also stems from a natural sensitivity that tends to perceive the harmony of the whole as distinct from the value of its constituent parts. This quality is reinforced and expressed by his propensity for music, and cultivated by his practice of musical instruments such as piano and classical and modern guitar. When a student in high school and university, his musical abilities led him to form various musical bands that toured central Italy. Simoncini’s personality is pervaded by a strong humanitarianism which triggered him to reflect on how little and inadequate medicine’s fundamental knowledge is, as shown by the impotence of medicine when faced by the pain of patients. This empathy for the pain of others has been the constant motivator on the path of his personal life. He’s always travelling throughout the world to explain his theory in congresses, conferences and interviews. Dr. Simoncini discovered that the cause of this terrible illness is a fungus and tried hard to persuade scientists how wrong are the actual theories on cancer. His therapy based on the strongest antifungal substance, sodium bicarbonate, is harmless and very effective and should be adopted all over the world. In 1996 Dr. Simoncini received his in Philosophy from La Sapienza University. From 2000 to 2004 he devoted his focus to Oncology, also at La Sapienza his medical career, Dr. Simoncini pursued his personal theories regarding cancer. His first terminal patient, who went into remission in 1981, is still alive and well today. Because of his unorthodox approach, Dr. Simoncini has been disbarred from the Italian Medical Order, and at the same time he has endured a massive, concerted attack by the Italian media, promoted by the Italian Medical Establishment. Despite these obstacles, Dr. Simoncini has managed to advance his theories at medical conferences in Italy and abroad. Among the venues where he has presented are the International Oncology Convention, Treviso, Italy (2000); Convention on Holistic Medicine in Oncology, Udine, Italy (2006); International Anti-Aging Convention, Paris, France (2008), the Convention on Natural Medicine, Phoenix, Arizona (2008), the 36th Annual Cancer Convention in Los Angeles (2008) and multiple lectures in Buenos Aires, Argentina (2010). We know he has lost his medical license and has been threatened with jail. Whether he is currently in jail or not, he likely is not allowed to answer emails from cancer patients as that would be considered to be “treating cancer.” His theory is correct, but technically cancer is caused by a bacteria which is inside of cancer cells – not a fungus. However, the fungus is highly pleormorphic. Alkalinity CAN kill these microbes and revert the cancer cells into normal cells. Does the Baking Soda Cancer Treatment aka (Sodium Bicarbonate) Work? Colleen Huber, NMD Dr. Huber’s intravenous nutrient cancer treatment Dr. Tullio Simoncini is a medical doctor in Italy who has done more than anyone to explore the uses of the baking soda cancer treatment as an alternative cancer treatment. It is known that cancer creates and favors an acid environment and because of this, Dr. Simoncini and others have used sodium bicarbodate as an alkaline therapeutic agent. The way that acidity seems to protect cancer is not fully understood. It seems that cytotoxic T-cells, which may attack cancer cells under normal conditions, are inactivated in an acid extracellular fluid.[1] Also, the type of acidity that cancer produces, lactic acid, stimulates vascular endothelial growth factor and angiogenesis.[2] This is like a highway project, which enables a tumor to build the blood vessels that it needs to bring the nutrients for it to survive. So the tumor creates an environment in which it can then exist comfortably. Baking Soda’s Alkalinity Fights Cancer’s Acidity At a pH of about 10, sodium bicarbonate is an antidote to this acidity. It can be used clinically in sterile, intravenous form. This is a liquid, sterile bicarbonate of soda. The baking soda cancer treatment is well-tolerated, even with frequent repeated dosing. We will often recommend that some of our cancer patients take ¼ to ½ teaspoonful in water orally a few times per day as an adjunct to our therapies. This is not suitable for everybody, and may have repercussions in various organ systems if taken to excess. We are not advising anyone to do this unless they have been a patient at our clinic, and we recommend it to specific individuals. Also, there is risk of aluminum contamination with some available brands of baking soda, so one must be cautious with this. An important part of our intravenous therapies against cancer is sterile, pure, intravenous sodium bicarbodate. This is one of numerous anti-cancer nutrients that we use in our intravenous infusions. A Concurrence Between Cancer And Candida Earlier researchers have found a concurrence between cancer and candida. In Dr. Simoncini’s book, Cancer is a Fungus[3] he notes some similarities between the two. Primarily, both are intractable diseases, each very hard to get rid of. Dr. Simoncini notes that each forms a solid mass of low penetrability, unlike the dispersed forms of bacterial and viral infections in the body or body fluids. Dr. Simoncini notes the problem of surface area in addressing these infections. Whereas bacterial and viral infections are dispersed in the solutions of bodily compartments, and likewise, antibiotics and other anti-microbials dispersed in the same solutions have access to each microbe. A solid mass on the other hand, is approached by one of two routes: either the most superficial layer of the outer surface, or by way of any blood vessels that course through it. In the case of a neoplasm, the approach of approximating the most superficial layer has the effect of challenging the survival of the cancer only enough to induce the genetic changes that make the tumor more resilient to further assault by the same or similar agents. Therefore, a productive route to the core of the cancer, a more threatening assault on its survival, is by way of the bloodstream which is why IV’s are utilized for the baking soda cancer treatment. Is Cancer A Fungus? Does Baking Soda Work on Cancer? As for whether cancer is fundamentally a kind of fungus, the jury is still out. However, it is useful to know that not only does sodium bicarbonate disrupt the comfortable environment of tumors, but it also has anti-fungal effect.[4] For the cancer patient, sodium bicarbonate by intravenous infusion, is given by a practitioner who is knowledgeable and experienced in this area, has been helpful to provide an environment that is unwelcoming to cancer. Therefore we hope that this will become a more commonly accepted practice in cancer treatment.
